Supervision
I offer Supervision to qualified and trainee Counsellors within the UK. I primarily work from a Person Centred modality, but incorporate integrative techniques as appropriate.
I work using a combination of the Seven-Eyed and Proctor models of Supervision, which I feel gives a wide overview, allowing for robust supervision.
Main focuses of my Supervision
Neurodivergent Counsellors
As a Neurodivergent counsellor myself who works with many ND clients this has naturally also become a focus of my supervision work.
I offer supervision and counselling from a Neurodivergence affirming framework.
Student Counsellors/New in practice
Over the years I have worked with many student counsellors and am mindful of the challenges of being new in practice.
I aim to offer a supportive and constructive supervisory environment to help you grow.
I do offer a concession rate for Supervisees in this catergory on a sliding scale of affordability.
Though this is subect to availability.
One off Supervision
From time to time many counsellors find a need for additional supervision for a number of different reasons.
I offer one off supervision to meet this natural need, whether your supervisor is on leave, ill or otherwise unavailable, or you would like a different perspective on a specfic client presentation.
I offer a space to allow you to meet your supervisory needs without the need to commit to recurring sessions.
Group Supervision
I have a growing interest in the power of group supervision.
The multiple view points allowing for additional perspectives and a wider pool of knowledge and experience.
It also allows individuals to experience offering their support or views to others. This is great for professional development of those thinking about training as supervisors themselves at some point.
My fee for Supervision is currently £50 per hour
My Supervisory Ethos
I work as best as I can from a non-discriminatory framework and as such I would invite you to consider the following questions.
-
What accommodations or adjustments would help you to fully participate in our supervision sessions?
-
Are there any specific barriers you've encountered in previous supervision experiences?
-
How can I best support you in this supervision process?
Supervision has to work for you and, as such, be flexible to your needs, whether that be regular sessions at a regular time, ad hoc sessions to fit around your schedule, or one-off appointments to fit a specific need. I aim to support you and your practice in the way you need.
