Free books!

To some this will be something they are already aware of and already use but I often encounter people not making use of a fantastic free resource.

The Library

To make it easier I will break down the steps you need to take to use your local library

Locate your local library

You can find your nearest one by searching online, using a map app such as google maps or at the goverment website (link below)

Visit the Library

Make sure to check the opening times, then visit when you are able.

Bring proof of identity and address (a driving licence covers both requirements if you have one)

Access the resources

You will be given a password to sign into various services using your Library card number.

Examples of ways this can help

Access to the library can help in many different ways.
The obvious one is that you can now borrow books! I fully recomend downloading and signing into the library app which will track what you have taken out, requested and when things are due back.

Libraries often have groups or activities which you can become involved in - reducing isolation and loneliness
